I use my Nokia N95 to capture my position and record where I have been. Using the free Sports Tracker application, it records every movement that you do when you are driving around. Data including height, speed, direction are all captures and using a simple Save As function, you can see your travel history immediately in Google Earth (and Maps). Yes, it exports KML file directly from the phone.
